SWsoft Server Virtualization Firm, Acquires PSOFT, from Comodo
Herndon, Virginia - (The Hosting News) - September 20, 2007 - Virtualization software company, SWsoft, has purchased the assets of the Positive Software (PSOFT) automation division of Comodo, including its H-Sphere control panel software with 2 million end users worldwide.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
As part of the agreement, SWsoft will resell Comodo security products, including SSL certificates, with its automation solutions. Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft offered, ”Through this acquisition, PSOFT customers will benefit from SWsoft’s extensive resources and high-quality customer support. It supports our OPEN FUSION technology initiative by expanding the number of customers who benefit from the large number of ISV (independent software vendor) applications which are integrated through a common hosting platform.”
PSOFT is a premier automation software vendor for hosting companies and data centers. The product portfolio includes the H-Sphere control panel, H-Sphere Single Server Edition, CP+ dedicated server management, SiteStudio website builder, NOC Monkey remote server provisioning, and the Linux-based Free VPS solution. Existing PSOFT customers will receive product support through SWsoft.
These products will join the SWsoft set of automation solutions that includes Plesk server automation and PEM datacenter automation, as well as the Ensim Pro server automation software that was acquired earlier this week.
